This mail shirt is made from intimidating butted armor which has been blackened for moisture resistance. Reminiscent of the Black Prince, who purposefully let his mail darken to a blackish hue, this shirt features 16 gauge links combined in the "international" pattern. The outer links measure 7/16" while the inners measure 3/8." This mail is built to last and when well oiled will retain its luster for ages to come.
